LACEY MAYES

I could go forever on how I got started in music, but I'll keep this short and sweet. Inspired by the legend Joey Jordison along with family, music became my passion. I learned from family and my guitar teacher, Charlie Wallace of Black Smoke Trigger who lead me to a group of Facebook on how to jump start my career in music. I made a post introducing myself and HSP found me from there. Now I am an Artist with 2 released Singles under HSP and a Virtual Assistant for HSP.

EMILY PATTERSON

My dad got me into music growing up. He was in a band. So, I've heard him play guitar, sing and play drums. I'm generally an emotional person and hearing my dad's original songs made me think maybe I can try songwriting so I can get out my feelings in a productive way. I have a creative mind so I thought it'd be a great outlet for myself. I did musical theater and choir growing up so when I started working on my first song I already knew the basics of piano and songwriting. That's how my song, 'My Fire' started forming. I kept up with piano and songwriting throughout the years and I have a lot of songs written at this point. When I met Shane, he was all in on me from the start. Working with Heavy Sticks Productions has been a great experience for me so far. I got to learn more about the industry and meet some wonderful people in the process. I see great things happening in the upcoming year.

JOSUE VARGAS-FLORES (AKA VLAD LUCIOUS)

My Name Is Josue Vargas-Flores, my stage Name is Vlad Lucius and this is how I myself got into music. I got into music around the age of 13. I always had a fondness for listening to music especially on my way to school. Growing up in the 2000's & early to mid 2010's I would mostly Listen to lots of bands of that era, such as Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace etc. By the time in middle school after a classmate of mine suggested listening to the band KISS and immediately I was hooked on to all these classic groups from they 60's-90's, which I later describe to be the best eras of music. Through out my teen hood I always wanted to form a band and always had thoughts of it, never proceeded due to a lack of confidence I had in my musical ability. I've had some experience in Guitar & the keyboard and I had fun playing those instruments but always wanted to vocals but didn't have confidence in my voice because of how monotone I sounded and would cringe every-time even if someone said I sounded good. Until around 2021 I been going out to karaoke nights at a local bar and really felt a spark to pursue music and form a band. How I got involved with heavy sticks productions, was through a little app called Vampr where I met Shane. I remember sending him a sample of a song project I was doing, and he gave me some very interesting tips as well and after having a few phone calls and meetings with him I will admit I was a little bit hesitant but overtime I have started to really make a good decision and decided to pursue it. I am very thankful that I am working with this label today. And I'm very thankful for the community I am a part of as well for they have helped me through some dark times and only makes me more determined
