Shane and his production team are top notch both in terms of experience and technical knowledge. Since 2023 I’ve been using his hard hitting drum stylings on my singles all of which you can check out here:
I met Shane through Dan Paquin on Spotify. I had just moved back to Baltimore from LA, right in the middle of the pandemic. Recoding remote was not only necessary but mandatory, and I had very little experience in this at the time. Luckily Shane is pro. His set up made recording easy and we where able to keep score in real time with Muse. He has a natural feel for music and can play any genre, but hard hitting rock is his sweet spot. In just a few takes we get what we want. It’s well worth it, the track comes out killer, we waste no time, and recording with him is fun as hell. Can’t recommend enough.
DAN PAQUIN
Hey there, my name is Dan Paquin (pronounced PAY-kwin). I'm a songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist. My childhood had lots of music in it but things started accelerating when I took 2 years of guitar in high school. I played in bands throughout high school and in college joined a pop punk band called Dirt Bike Annie where I moved to bass. We were active for 9 years and put out 3 full lengths and a slew of 7"s. You can listen HERE We Toured the country in a van, sleeping on floors and making lots of friends along the way. I made my first recording of me playing all the instruments on a 4 track in 1999. From there I progressed to Garageband and then Logic. In February 2021, I participated in the RPM challenge where I wrote and recorded a 10 song record from scratch called "The Incredible True Story." Feeling my limitations in certain areas - drums in particular - I started looking for a session drummer. I found Shane through Vampr where I was immediately impressed by his drumming abilities and the recording quality he was able to achieve. We jumped on a call and I was struck immediately by his passion and go getter attitude. Since then Shane has provided numerous drum tracks for me and a few of the artists I work with including grunge pop band Mia Mera and my own solo material, like "Into the Fire Again" which is about living with bipolar disorder. Shane is also a very good songwriter and producer and we have had lots of long conversations sharing tips and war stories.

I started getting into heavy music when I was about 13, maybe 14 years old. At that point, we had a satellite dish at home, and I discovered SiriusXM liquid metal. The band that popped up was Chimaira and their song Worthless, and I was hooked on metal instantly. My music taste has obviously evolved since then (I recently got more into symphonic metal), but I got even more into the music scene in 2022 when I started a podcast called Hammer Down Volume Up.
I started going to multiple live shows, meeting and befriending all kinds of bands in southeast Wisconsin and northeast Illinois, seeing how bands operate (my appreciation for the industry has significantly grown on a different level with going behind the scenes), and promoting their music on my show; not only do I get to enjoy concerts, I get the satisfaction of helping bands get their material out for the world to hear. I got into Heavy Sticks Productions after Shane added me on Facebook one day, and I was interested in the instrumentals package and adding my voice to said instrumental. I thought to myself, hey, it's something I've never done before, so I'll give it a shot and see what happens. I'm looking forward to seeing what this chapter brings with HSP.

I started playing the drums at the age of 6. Then the guitar, the bass, singing, and screaming all followed shortly after.
I've been in a multiple successful bands. And was very blessed to be able to play at and headline at the legendary Chicago House Of Blues. I've also had the pleasure of opening up for bands such as Hollywood Undead, Pop Evil, Art Of Dying, Masked Intruder, and Carousel Kings. I've also had the amazing opportunity of touring all over Midwest. But then Covid hit. So I was kind of at a stand still. Now, keep in mind, while I've been able to tour and open up for all those amazing bands I still had a "Day Job" at the time.
Now, when COVID-19 hit and was just starting to ruin EVERYTHING for EVERYONE, This guy by the name of Andrew Imbesi hit me up. He got me to take his Mini Music Marketing Class/Course called Boge Group Media. While I was in his class, I was taught how to market and sell myself as a musician! While Taking his courses I was still working at Portillos. But, mid way through taking the classes, I was able to generate enough clients to be able to leave my day job at Portillos!
